Inauguration and closing ceremony of swimming training was held in Betagi Upazila of Barguna district.

Under the initiative of Ministry of Youth and Sports under the management of District Sports Office, Barguna annual sports program (2023-2024) under the financial year Mr. Farooq Ahmed inaugurated monthly swimming training on 01/02/2024 in the pond adjacent to Fultala Bibichini Bikash Secondary School of Betagi Upazila, Upazila Executive Officer Betagi, Barguna. After the month-long training, the closing and certificate distribution ceremony was held on 23/03/2024 at 11.00 am in the auditorium room of Phultala Bibichini Bikash Secondary School. Mr. Sapatul Islam, District Sports Officer, Barguna was present as the chief guest. Mr. Jamal Hossain, Upazila Secondary Education Officer, Betagi Barguna was present as a special guest on the occasion. Mr. Md. Rafiqul Islam, Coordinator Upazila NGO Parishad and Director Izwa Betagi Barguna were also present. The program was presided over by Mr. Kamal Hossain, Head Teacher Phultala Bibichini Bikash Secondary School. At this time, the speakers said in their speech that there is no alternative to sports to keep the current generation away from drugs, eve-teasing and various anti-social activities. A lot of sports lover spectators were present at this time.
